About Dhurandhar 2
The movie is set in Lyari, Karachi, a region known for gang wars and violent turf battles. The narrative unfolds through covert intelligence operations amid geopolitical tensions. Ranveer Singh’s character, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, undergoes a significant transformation into the spy Hamza Ali Mazari.
Dhurandhar 2 achieved the largest paid preview screening for an Indian film, with 9,000 shows across 6,000 screens in India, earning ₹44 crore in domestic net earnings, setting a new record. Despite some challenges, including cancelled dubbed shows and delays, the film has surpassed previous records.
An excerpt from a review highlighted, "What really saves the film is everything after the interval. The second half builds nicely to a climax that lands exactly as it should. Aditya, the director, shows good restraint, avoiding obvious callbacks to the first film, which works in its favor."
