Vijay's upcoming film Jana Nayagan has been leaked online, causing a stir in the Tamil film industry. This unreleased movie is still awaiting clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has faced delays for three months.
In response to the leak, prominent figures from the industry have expressed their discontent and called for respect towards the efforts of those involved in film production. Chiranjeevi voiced his concerns on social media, stating, “The unfortunate leak of #JanaNayagan is something that deeply concerns me. Cinema is built on trust, effort, and the collective dreams of many. Such incidents affect all of us in the industry. Let us take responsibility to protect cinema. Kill Piracy. Save Cinema.”
Sivakarthikeyan was among the first to react, emphasizing the passion and dedication that goes into filmmaking. He urged audiences to wait for the theatrical release and stated, “Whoever is responsible for this must face strict action. Respect the talents. Respect the hard work. Respect the industry.”
Actor GV Prakash Kumar echoed these sentiments, stating, “Do not support piracy. Respect the talent and hard work that goes into filmmaking.” Khushbu Sundar described piracy as organized theft and a brutal betrayal of artists, reminding everyone that it destroys livelihoods and crushes dreams.
Hope for a Theatrical Release
Actor Vishal expressed his disappointment over the leaks, wishing to see Jana Nayagan released in theaters. He acknowledged the hard work of the production team and expressed hope for a legitimate release soon.
The production team is taking legal action against those responsible for the leak and has warned audiences against downloading or sharing the film illegally. Their legal notice highlighted the significant investment made in the movie, which carries substantial commercial value.
