Badshah to Release Revised Version of ‘Tateeree’ Following Backlash
Rapper-singer Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, known as Badshah, faced significant backlash following the release of his new song, 'Tateeree'. The song drew criticism for explicit lyrics and visuals deemed inappropriate by many. In response, Badshah took down the song from all platforms and announced via Instagram that he would release a revised version, titled 'Tateeree Phir Se', that removes the objectionable content.
On April 10, Badshah expressed his respect for the feedback received from various stakeholders, including government officials and social workers. He stated that he aims to represent his roots and culture through his music, emphasizing the importance of social responsibility alongside artistry. The new version is set to be released on April 14.
Recently, Badshah also apologized to the National Commission for Women (NCW) and committed to working towards women's empowerment, including sponsoring the education of 50 underprivileged girls.
About the Controversy
'Tateeree' is a Haryanvi hip-hop single that debuted on March 1, 2026. It features Badshah alongside vocalist Simran Jaglan, with lyrics penned by Badshah and music composed by Hiten. Following the backlash, the Haryana Police took action against the song, removing multiple links from social media platforms. Badshah clarified that his intention was never to offend anyone.
