Analysis of the CBSE Class 12 Hindi Exam 2026: Insights and Paper Difficulty

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has successfully conducted the Class 12 Hindi Elective and Hindi Core examinations. The exams commenced after the Class 10 board exams, which concluded on March 10, 2026, and will continue until April 9, 2026. The Hindi paper was held from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

CBSE has introduced On-Screen Marking (OSM) for evaluating Class 12 answer sheets. This innovative approach involves scanning the answer scripts and assessing them digitally, ensuring accuracy in grading.

CBSE Class 12 Hindi Board Exam 2026: Paper Pattern

Experts have noted that the Hindi paper tends to be lengthy, making effective time management essential for students. The question paper is structured into two main sections:

Section A (Objective): This section comprises unseen passages and poetry, along with multiple-choice questions. Students are encouraged to read the passages carefully at least twice to minimize errors.

Section B (Descriptive): This part includes questions on creative writing, letter writing, and detailed responses. It assesses students’ writing abilities and accuracy.

Cancellation of Class 12 Board Exams in West Asia

Due to the US-Iran conflict, CBSE has announced the cancellation of Class 12 board examinations scheduled from March 16 to April 10 for students in the West Asia region, which includes Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Previously postponed exams will also remain canceled.

The mode of results declaration for these countries will be communicated separately.

Earlier, the CBSE had also canceled Class 10 examinations in the region.
