Delhi Teachers Set for New Online Training Programs

Delhi's government and private school teachers are gearing up for a new phase of structured online training as the government reopens professional development courses for the academic year.

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has announced the continuation of NISHTHA courses, alongside General Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and nano courses tailored for teachers, school heads, and educators across various school types.

The NISHTHA program will focus on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, as well as Early Childhood Care and Education, offering courses in English, Hindi, and Urdu. This initiative aims to enhance classroom practices in alignment with the National Education Policy.

Additionally, the General CPD courses will address a range of contemporary topics such as cyber hygiene, social media safety, digital wellness, inclusive education, and data privacy, among others.

Teachers can enroll in these courses through the DIKSHA portal, which provides easy access to video lessons and text-based materials, allowing educators to learn at their own pace.

Enrollment will remain open until March 10, 2026, with a completion deadline set for March 15, 2026. The SCERT encourages all participants to stay on schedule, as course links will expire post-deadline.

This initiative aims to enhance the professional capabilities of educators and ensure that they have access to the latest pedagogical and digital skills across Delhi's educational landscape.
