Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna Open Up About Trolling in Film Industry
During the promotional events for their film, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna candidly discussed the impact of social media trolling on their lives. In a conversation with host Suma, Sreeleela shared that she nearly walked away from acting due to the harsh comments she received online.
Sreeleela recalled her emotional struggles, stating, "When I first started in this industry, I felt overwhelmed. I would cry and even considered going back to school because it was so tough for me." However, she noted that over time, she has developed a thicker skin and is now more resilient against negative comments.
Raashii Khanna echoed similar sentiments, expressing that the intensity of trolling has increased. She mentioned, "I feel it a little bit now because the trolling has gotten worse. People often judge without knowing the complete story, which can be quite frustrating." Despite this, Sreeleela believes that the audience today is more discerning and capable of critical thinking.
Furthermore, Sreeleela emphasized, "People have their own intellect now, so they tend to think more before reacting to negativity. However, I do recognize that some write for clickbait, which is disheartening."
On a personal note, Sreeleela, who made her film debut in 2019, has successfully balanced her acting career with her education, recently graduating with an MBBS degree. Meanwhile, Raashii continues to expand her portfolio in both Telugu and Hindi cinema, demonstrating their commitment to their crafts despite the challenges posed by online criticism.
