Bir Billing is a destination in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is known for paragliding and short treks. Bir Billing is made up of two parts: Bir, a village, and Billing, a takeoff site for paragliding. Bir is home to a Tibetan refugee settlement, several Buddhist monasteries, and a large stupa. Billing is located at an elevation of around 5,000 feet and experiences cold winters. The ideal time to visit Bir-Billing is believed to be between March and June.

To reach Bir Billing, fly into Gaggal Airport (68 km from Palampur) with frequent Delhi connections. Baijnath Paprola Railway Station links Kangra’s main cities. Access by road includes HRTC buses and private services from Gaggal (68 km), Dharamshala (50 km), Manali (180 km), Shimla (200 km), Chandigarh (280 km), and Delhi (500 km). Direct HRTC Volvo buses run from Bir to the Delhi Bus Stand.

1) Paragliding

India’s paragliding hub, Bir Billing, was honored to host the Paragliding World Cup 2015. One of the best activities in Bir Billing is paragliding. Every adventurer has a different experience landing in the plains of Bir after taking off from the hills of Billing.
